Kolhapur, Nov 11 (UNI) Commotion broke out when a leopard entered a densely populated Nagala Park area of the city and attacked a ranger on Tuesday afternoon.
According to police and forest department, a leopard suddenly jumped into a garden of a hotel, situated in Tarabai Park area and attacked on a hotel employee. Later a forest office's ranger suffered minor injuries when he tried to stop the wild animal.
The leopard then hid in a chember in neighbouring BSNL office area.
After receiving information, police team, forest office employees and Kolhapur Municipal Corporation (KMC)'s fire brigade personal rushed to the spot and tried to catch the animal.
According to latest report, forest team succeed to capture leopard after a search lasing for two hours. The forest team members shot an intoxicating injection and it away.
The episode generated a commotion among the citizens, who gathered in the area.
